April 14th Meeting

We finished our mugs for our Prayer Pals tonight and filled them with chocolate and tea for Tuesday!

We also had a really good conversation about Pastor Aaron’s sermon from Sunday. If you were not able to attend church on Sunday April 12, 2015, you can listen to the podcast Here. We were asked some really good questions pertaining to God’s Kingdom.

  1. Whose kingdom do you live in; your kingdom or God’s Kingdom?
  2. What does your kingdom worship?
  3. How do you spend your time?
  4. What are you daily priorities?

Pal Gal Spring Fling/Awards Night is THIS TUESDAY APRIL 21st!!! Please be on time 🙂

Dinner is at 6:10pm                                     Awards Ceremony is for your whole family and starts at 7:20pm

3-24-15 Meeting!!!

We missed a lot of you yesterday! But we are praying for you always <3

Yesterday was a fun day! We decorated coffee mugs for our prayer pals. We will continue to do this next week as well, so think of a good bible verse to write on the mug. We also decided that we are going to fill them with tea & chocolates for our prayer pals. The Pal Gal Dinner/Awards Night is APRIL 21, 2015.

* Snack for next week is still up for grabs, so if you are willing/able to bring it, that would be WONDERFUL!!! 🙂

*BIBLE VERSE GAME! Fun fact about me is that I LOVE shopping and getting good deals. So a couple weeks ago I was shopping and thinking about all of you and found some amazing deals on some amazing things. So I prayed about how to give these gifts away. God answered my prayers and now we have The BIBLE VERSE GAME 🙂 The FIRST person to find me on Sunday March 29, 2015 and recites the verse back to me from memory will win a prize that is worth around $20.00! 🙂 I will be at the 11:00AM service and then immediately downstairs by the classrooms after service. The verse is:

PSALM 61:1-2

Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,

We are EXACTLY where God wants us to be right now….We just have to BLOOM WHERE WE ARE PLANTED <3

*Snack for 3-24-15 has not been claimed yet, so if you are willing and able to bring something, let us know! 🙂

Yesterday we talked a little about things we idolize/worship. To Idolize/worship something means that whatever the thing/idea is, it is pretty much ALWAYS on our minds. Some of these are things, we could even say, we LIVE for. Some things that were mentioned yesterday were: boys, electronics, social media, relationships, money, thoughts & attention. These things really effect our behavior some/most of the time.  Now, let’s face it, no one is perfect and sometimes we are not proud of our behavior….So how do we change our behavior? How do we change something that is so embedded in our heart’s desire? The answer is simple…..Change what you worship.

  • Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered him, “It is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.”
  • Now here’s the fun part……on March 15, 2015 (This Sunday) I will be at the church at 9:45AM in our room for Pastor Aaron’s class and at the 11:00AM service. If you are the FIRST person to find me and tell me the bible verse above (Luke 4:8), you will get a prize!!!

  • Our health (New Diagnosis, Hips, Knee & Shoulder)
  • Finals/Grades
  • Health from the stomach flu that’s going around!
  • Relationships
  • Siblings
  • Self Image
  • Dental Work
  • Richard whose lung collapsed recently
  • More Energy
  • A LOT
  • Unspokens
  • Family Relationships
  • Stress/Mental Health
  • Relationship With God
  • Family Health
  • Tennis
  • Grandparents

I pray you all have a fantastic week and I can’t wait to see you on Sunday!!

2-17-15 Meeting!

I’m so sorry I couldn’t get the re-cap to last week’s meeting up sooner!
But last week we read and talked about Psalm 139. We asked ourselves how/why this verse is comforting?

Psalm 139 23:24 is a powerful prayer that we all can pray everyday:
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ”

Tomorrow!! 2-17-15

Tomorrow we will be talking about Psalm 139, so if you’d like to read it ahead of time, you can find it Here.

I love Sunday worship and if you didn’t know already, I am a note-taker 🙂 Yesterday Pastor Leslie mentioned how Psalm 139 reminds us of how desperately we need forgiveness from God. What are your thoughts on Psalm 139?? Genesis 6:6 mentions how God’s immediate response to our sin is hurt/grief NOT wrath. But Genesis 6:7  tells of how God NEVER tells/shows His hurt/grief/wrath/judgement without His GRACE.

Some key notes I took from Pastor Leslie that I really want to share with you are :

1. “There is nothing to fear about our God. He is a God of judgement, but He’s also a God of IMMEASURABLE GRACE.”

2. “You don’t need to be on the receiving end of God’s vengence.”

I hope you all are having a fantastic week.  Know that I am praying for you all always and I can not wait to see all of you tomorrow!!

Lots of Love,

Carol Ann
